I got this from L. Britt:
The Rules: Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me.” I respond by asking you five personal questions (I will leave these questions for you in my comments) so I can get to know you better. If I already know you well, expect the questions may be a little more intimate! You WILL update your journal/bloggy thing/whatever with the answers to the questions (please don't leave your answers in my comments unless you don't have a blog). You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
Here is what she asked me:
1. If you had to up and leave New York, what place would you resettle to and why?
Funny you should ask that. I just finished visiting a friend in Washington DC and I just love it there. First of all, there are so many attractive, tall black men! Secondly, I have family there and it is nice to be around my uncles there. Also, I feel like I could have a nice place to call home. My Mom used to live in DC and we would travel there all the time growing up. It feels familiar and new all at the same time.
2. At your wedding, will the person who marries you mention God in any way?
Yeah, I think so. As I get older I am becoming more traditional and a bit more secular. It is surprising me but lately I have been surprising myself. I also want my friend's stepfather in Montreal to marry me and he is a minister so there will be some mention of God if he is going to do it. It is a sort of a bizarre thing that I am so attached to my friend's stepfather marrying me but he is a good, kind man who I have known for a long time. He asks her every vacation if I am getting married anytime soon and she says, "No, not yet."
3. Are there people who read your blog you wish wouldn't?
Yeah a few people. I'm not getting specific obviously. You can tell when people read your blog when you begin to tell them things about what is going on in your life and they just nod their head as if to say, "I already know that from your blog." Still, it is the worldwide web. If I did not want it out there, I should not write it. I am surprised by the number of people who read my blog and how many of those people are people I sort of know. It has not stopped me from writing what I want though.
Honestly it is flattering that people even take the time to read about what you have to say at all. Human interactions are so complicated. Sometimes you wonder about people and what is going on with them even if you are no longer friends with them. It's hard to explain. If that person has a blog, you just get a fix and move on. I know I do it. (I am sure L. Britt and a few others know what I am trying to say.)
4. Are there people who don't read your blog that you wish did?
I can not think of anyone actually. Strange.
5. What's the next new thing you're going to try?
I might eat a new food or see a new movie in the next day or so. (I am actually in the middle of The War Room.) But if not, I am definately going somewhere new on Saturday: Harlem Lanes!
Nice! Do me now.

My turn, my turn. Interview me!

This is hard man. Here it goes:
4 The Rover. You may have spoken about these things before but here it goes. I just went for the gold with these questions. If you want me to replace any, I will! :
1. What does "settling down" mean to you?
2. Have you ever hooked up (even kissed) a guy?
3. Which actor has the career you want?
4. If you could live in a city outside of the US, what would it be?
5. What actor do you think if just overrated?
4 L Britt:
1. Have you and The Rover talked about what raising multi-racial kids will be like?
2. If you could have any occupation in the world (other than the one you have), what would it be?
3. If you could spend a night with one celebrity, who would it be?
4. What is your biggest regret?
5. What's your favorite movie?

I will get right on these, but I'm assuming you meant TM when you said The Rover in Question #1.

Oops. I was drinking red wine when I did those. Yeah, I meant TM.

Yeah, I was like (a) if LB and I had kids, they wouldn't be multi-racial, and (b) despite you guys making fun of me, i'd really like to find a smart pretty funny black girl to settle down with...
