A funny quote from the Times about award season. The Times has gotten snarkier lately. I think they are hiring younger writers:
As the awards season lumbers toward the Oscars, you can almost envision what might happen when the Academy Awards are finally given out on Feb. 25. Forest Whitaker will fumble for words and mumble; Eddie Murphy will robotically deliver his list of industry thanks; Jennifer Hudson will work in a hokey use of the word “dream”; and Helen Mirren will pay tribute to the actual queen.
I actually am not sure Eddie Murphy is going to win the Academy Award. I'm not sure why I think this but I do. Jennifer Hudson and Helen Mirren, yeah, that's all locked up!
Maybe it's bad to feel this way, but I just want Forrest Whitaker to get it together enough to string a coherent sentence together. I've seen him in interviews and he's quite articulate. And I don't think Murphy's gonna win either. Plus, I didn't think he was so great.

I agree about Forest. At first it was endearing. He was shocked at the Golden Globes. But now it feels a bit weird. I know it's not an act but when you see it two times, it feels that way. Please Forest, just sit down and write something for the Academy Awards. It's not bad luck. You are going to win. Just do it. For me.

See Tucker- I am not the only one disturbed by his seemingly neurological disorder presence- I just don't get it- he's fine when he does an interview on lifetime about how brilliant Sandra Bullock is! ;)
