I don't know about you but ever since I heard that Mira Nair was directing the movie version of Jhumpa Lahiri's The Namesake, I have been waiting with baited breath. 

Then I heard that Kal Penn, who I have a huge crush on, was going to star in it ... The anticipation continued! 

Now here is the trailer!  I am squealing with delight!

I closed my eyes and hit a picture book that I got from my old boss called Hearthrob: A Hundred Years of Beautiful Men. Needless to say, there was no fifth sentence on page 123.

CW Be Damned!

I knew this day was going to come. I knew the new stupid CW network would disappoint me but I had no idea it would be this lame. For all who do not know, the WB and UPN merged into one network of sucky TV instead of 2. I am mad right now. Really mad because:

They cancelled Everwood. I love that show.

They brought back 7th Heaven.

They brought back Reba!!!

They brought back One Tree Hill when half the cast doesn't even want to be on the damn show to begin with!

But they cancelled Everwood. Whatever!

I'm Exhausted!

Grey's Anatomy's two hour finale just about killed me. We had a Grey's Anatomy extravaganza complete with two night of group watching. Last night in Willy B over some yummy mohitos, we watched crazy Izzy cut the wire; Denny die; Christina get a little less emotionally available but not enough if you ask me; and Mer and Der have hot sex. It was pretty exhausting and I'm not even sure how I feel about all that happened.

Before that I saw bits and pieces of the Prison Break finale and went home to watch it properly. That was a wee bit disappointing. I am really annoyed that they overdosed Sara. It just did not seem true to her character. She's not dead fans. Do not fret.

So now I just have my Everwood season finale (possibly series finale ... when is CW going to announce their schedule already? Can you believe they brought back 7th Heaven? Will that show ever die?! And after they manipulated viewers into watching what they were calling a series finale. That show makes more money that I ever knew apparently.) and then my life can return to normal. These finales are pretty emotional. Geez.

100 Things About Me

I have wanted to do this for a while. I am part of a blogging mentor program where a bunch of us are mentoring young girls with different assignments. (We aren't posting the url because we want everyone to be able to be uninhibited when they write.) Anyway, this was the first assignment they got and I figured I would give it a go as well.

I do not think I can do 100 in one sitting. It just seems waay too ambitious an undertaking. Today I will do the first 25 and maybe in a day or so do 25 more. I am doing this while watching Capote. I'm not sure why I am mentioning it other than to say that Phillip Seymour Hoffman is really as brilliant as they say.

1. I am very tall.
2. I used to say I was 5'10" when I knew I had already hit the 6'0" mark because I thought being 6'0" made me a freak.
3. I'm stubborn.
4. I can admit when I am wrong.
5. I don't comb my hair as much as I should.
6. I love coffee and I am not giving it up. Ever.
7. I'm not sure I will ever get married.
8. And I'm not sure I care.
9. I will raise a child one day.
10. I could be online all day and have.

12. But I like hanging out with friends a lot too.
13. I hate the dentist and almost would rather have my teeth fall out then go.

Mission Impossible III

Saw it on Friday. It was eh. Kind of a medicore Alias episode. Better than the second one though. The second one was horrible. I mean, there were doves in that movie. Doves!
