Thoughts In No Particular Order

Last night I went to bed at 2am because I was watching the documentary, Citizen King. It was interesting to get a different take on the man. I suggest it. It's well done.

This morning I woke up to watch an interview with the new President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf. How incredible! Hopefully she can repair the damage done to Liberia from their last President. How behind can the US be? When will we have a female President? One can only hope.

Oh, read this article by Binyavanga Wainaina called How To Write About Africa from Granta. It is a tongue and cheek piece. Isha and I were just talking about the way that the West depicts Africans. I guess I'll have more time to think about this when I get there.

I have been a homebody lately. Watching too much TV, reading too many blogs, staying out of the cold. Sometimes I get like this. Anti-social. Nothing is wrong. I just go through days where I literally do not want to speak all day. Today I am over it though.

I am ready for The Golden Globes!!! I love award shows!! I love seeing celebs all dressed up. I love to see who goes with who. OOH! I can't wait!!!

I too want to jump on the Jolie-Pitt bandwagon. That's the best last name ever! We should all take it. And though I am very scared for that child's well being (Could you deal with having the two most beautiful people in the planet as your parents, one of whom is trying to bring peace to the world!? Eek!!), I am excited to meet him/her.
