Did I say this was a blah year for movies? This year's nominations are so strange. Then again, the Golden Globes are always strange because half of the movies haven't even come out yet! It is so funny how Hollywood they are. For example, Charlie Sheen getting nominated in the television category for Two and a Half Men. That made me giggle. The Globes are all about big celebs.
One saving grace was nominations for Eternal Sunshine For The Spotless Mind. That movie is so much better than most of the films that were nominated!
Two things about the Globes: 1. Jamie Foxx got nominated THREE times for THREE different roles. 2004 was Jamie's year. 2. All of the "Desparate Housewives" cast got nominated except for the non-star...she's such an non-star that I don't even know her name. Even Nicolette Sheridan, who looks like an alien on that show, got nominated. That no-name must be PISSED!

I think that Jamie Foxx getting nominated that many times just means he's not going to get an Academy Award. That's how it happens. He'll get nominated twice this year for Collateral and Ray and someone random (or old) will win Best Actor and someone random (or young) will win Best Supporting. That is my prediction.
As for Desperate Housewives, well, Eva Longoria really only has sex with the hot lawn boy so there's kind of nothing to nominate her for.

Good for Don Cheadle - Hotel Rwanda was so brilliant.

Noticed in your "about" section that you are doing some freelance writing and wanted to invite you to check out www.lorraineandjames.com in the event that you have something literary you might want to publish. Our first issue (summer 2005) will also have an illuminating non-fiction piece about a bi-polar writer that you might be interested in.
Hopefully we will be able to read some of your work. Good luck to you!
