    Take Action

    Celebrity Sightings

    • Christina Applegate and Chole Sevigny
at the BWE 100th episode party. They are both so blonde. That color blonde that does not exist in real life but only with chemical enhancement. They're beautiful though.
    • Melba Moore
in the airport in Nairobi, Kenya! We smiled at each other over Nescafe (aka coffee).
    • Parker Posey
at Murray's Bagels. She looked really punk rock.
    • Jessica Lange and Sam Shephard
at A History of Violence at Cinema Village. They were so cute and followed us everywhere from the movies to Cedar Tavern and back to the movies. They probably thought we were following them.
    • Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe
pushing their baby down 13th Street. I was having a meeting at Cosi around the corner from my overcrowded office. I looked out the window and there they were. They stopped in front of my window and were doing the, who should take the baby conversation. I was trying to listen to the person talking to me but I could not and she was not the type of person who would understand my distraction by these celebs. They are both really attractive but almost too much so. His sneakers were new. His jeans were new. It was weird. I like imperfection.
    • Joshua Redman
running on 18th Street. I realized that I've seen him many times before and just did not realize it. He was smaller than I thought he's be but I guess most people are.
    • Patti Smith
which was not a big deal to me but my friend Marina apparently sees her all the time. This was her fourth sighting. I said she should say something like, "I see you everywhere. We should hang out." Marina wouldn't take the bait.
    • Leonardo DiCaprio
with Isha on our way to the PATH station on 9th Street and 6th Ave. He is very tall but as my friend says, one cheeseburger away from being fat. His bodyguard "subtely" was wearing a jogging suit next to him. I guess they exercise together. He wasn't so hot to me but another girl flipped out when she saw him so what do I know.
    • Sam Rockwell and Liev Schreiber
on New Year's Eve but you gotta buy me a few drinks to hear that story.
    • John Turturro
in Union Square looking tall and handsome. I’ve always had a strange little crush on him.

HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU authors Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo of SEX IN THE CITY became an overnight bestseller due to starring on the OPRAH WINFREY SHOW last week.

OPRAH has made many new authors millionaires like herself by showcasing their books to her audience. Sydney Newman Dotson is standing in the wings hoping she'll be the next author invited on OPRAH'S SHOW.

Dotson's debut book NO GREATER DECEPTION skyrocketed to #1 on Amazon and Barnes and Noble True Crime Biography Bestseller Lists. Dotson tops Ann Rule, John Glatt, James Patterson and Marion Collins.

"Making the Top 10 Bestseller Lists is wonderful. Becoming the number one true crime biography is outstanding," says Dotson.

“My book should appear on Oprah’s Book Club, the Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Washington Post and USA Today Bestseller Lists shortly. It takes about a week for them to catch up with Amazon and Barnes & Noble sales rankings.”

“Lifetime Television and Benderspink Production Company have indicated an interest in an option to my film rights. The William Morris Agency may represent me soon.”

Despite waves of publicity and a rock-star reception at all her booksignings, Barnes & Noble, Borders and Books a Million Bookstores were not prepared to meet the demand for Dotson’s true story. Customers were often told the book is "not in stock" or "not available."

Residents in Chicago, Houston, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Florida and Atlanta said they called ahead to make sure the book was in stock, then nabbed a copy on Amazon or B&

Former IBM Director of Corporate Business Intelligence, Sydney Newman Dotson, is a corporate spy turned detective in " NO GREATER DECEPTION, A TRUE TEXAS STORY."

Dotson's family’s friends make them anything but normal. Was it normal for Joe Bonanno to show up at their home? Just how involved was their father in the gambling and prostitution rings along the Galveston Bay? Were his connections to President George Bush, Lyndon Johnson, Lady Bird and Joe Bonanno much deeper than they seemed? Was he involved in the JFK assassination?

"Deceased victims of identity theft cannot come back from the dead to defend themselves," says Dotson. "It leaves the victims' children to seek justice on their deceased relatives behalf.“

"My stepmother had a brilliant scheme. She opened a number of bank accounts in my father's name. The forged signature on the checks matched the signature on the forged will she produced for my father."

What the two sisters’ forensic handwriting expert, Mrs. Higgins, discovers will send chills up and down your spine. Their lives are in danger and they may have a black widow serial killer on their hands.

LIPSTICK DETECTIVES: The Texas Mafia Connection

Article by Heather White, The Hollywood Buzz

Texas author, Sydney Newman Dotson, has the attention of actors, agents, publishers, independent film producers and movie studios in Hollywood. Her first book, "No Greater Deception: A True Texas Story," of the Newman Family Trilogy is currently the #1 true crime autobiography on the market. Paramount Pictures recently requested a copy of Dotson's screenplay, LIPSTICK DETECTIVES: THE TEXAS MAFIA CONNECTION, that's based on Dotson's family trilogy.

LIPSTICK DETECTIVES: THE TEXAS MAFIA CONNECTION takes place primarily in Dallas, Galveston, Houston, and Longview and neighboring counties. Dotson, a former IBM executive and corporate spy, and her sister, a CFO at a space museum in Houston, are the main characters, and spy sisters in this blockbuster bestseller.

Sydney Dotson Productions was formed to co-produce a film and follow-up TV series based on Dotson's trilogy. Potential partners that have indicated an interest in the project include Paramount Pictures, the Maloof brothers (Insomnia Entertainment) and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who also owns 2929 Entertainment, Magnolia Films, HDNet Films, and a piece of Lion's Gate Films.

Tilman Fertitta of Landry's Restaurants, and Lorenzo Fertitta of Station Casinos, have been invited to come onboard as co-producers as well. Sylvester Stallone (Rocky) and Dixie Carter (Designing Women) are considering playing New York mafia kingpin Joe Bonanno and Betty Newman, the evil stepmother.

Actors and actresses who would like to play roles in this film project heard about Dotson's book and endeavor to produce a film from Hollywood insiders. The author's book, film treatment and screenplay film script are being reviewed by a number of people in the film industry.

Dotson and her sister, the LIPSTICK DETECTIVES, have been hawking their one-minute pitch and trilogy at several film festivals, including Sundance, Tribeca and South by Southwest Film Conference (SXSW). They will also attend the Cannes Film Festival, Showest, Women in the Director's Chair, Reel Women International, USA Film Festival, Austin Film Festival and Texas Film Festival.

Hold onto your bootstraps folks! If you liked Erin Brockovich, you'll be thoroughly intrigued with the adventures of these two sisters, their knack for investigative work, and their family in Texas. This is a stirring, humorous and unconventional true story about their epics and a tainted Texas Justice System.

Sydney and her sister Heather will take you through their gut wrenching, nerve racking, emotional roller coaster ride that occurs after their father dies and their stepmother turns in a suspicious Last Will and Testament that leaves the stepmother the entire estate.

As the two beautiful blonde bombshells face their father's death, an evil stepmother, and a tainted legal system, they introduce themselves to many people while searching for missing pieces of the family puzzle. What they discover makes the sisters question everything they once thought was real.

Is their father the man they think he is? How was he able to buy all the guns, diamonds, land and mineral rights that he owned? How involved was he in gambling, prostitution, bootlegging and gun running along the Galveston Bay? Were his connections to George Bush, Lyndon Johnson, Lady Bird, Jack Ruby and New York Mafia Kingpin Joe Bonanno much deeper than they seemed? Was he a made man or simply the bodyguard for the Bonanno, Maceo, Moody, Fertitta and Salvato families? Could he truly involved in the JFK assassination? Perhaps that's why Lady Bird Johnson, the Secret Service, Mafia, Texas Rangers and law enforcement officers across the country attended his funeral.

What they learn about their stepmother Betty is devastating. How did the town whore come to marry their father the Police Chief? Did she kill her only brother and father and forge their Last Wills and Testaments and Living Wills too? Just how many accomplices does she have? Are some of them their own brothers and sisters?

What the two sisters' forensic document expert, Mrs. Higgins, discovers will send chills up and down your spine. Betty Newman may be a black widow serial killer and mafia madam, and their lives are in danger.

"No Greater Deception: A True Texas Story," is the #1 true crime autobiography about identity theft, forgery and fraud within a family. It's a shocking expose about the LIPSTICK DETECTIVES, victims of inheritance fraud.

Dotson's book, "NO GREATER DECEPTION: A True Texas Story," is available today on 400 websites in 22 countries, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders and Books a Million.
