I am seriously procrastinating right now. Anyway, this is a tribute The Roots did to Bono at a decent awards show, The NAACP Image Awards. I heart The Roots. Black Thought has a good voice (and looks cute). He is working on a project with Danger Mouse. I can not wait for that. Enjoy! I will now clean my apartment. Procrastination over.

I am completely open to people not agreeing with me. That's cool. I just really hate smiley faces when people are doing it. It kind of bothers me. Not sure why.

Yeah - you're right on the smiley face. I suppose they are meant to safeguard against tonal understandings in the world of textual discourse. But 10-4 on that. Thank you I think I won't be using those any more and therefore I will be a little less tacky in the future.
Also, perhaps "horrendous" might have been oh... I dunno.. I bit over dramatic. Whoops Sorry. ( sans smiley)

no, I think horrendous captures it. sorry i'm very late with this discussion...I saw them this summer and for some reason they still haven't read the memo that long, gratuitous, wanking solos generally suck, especially when played by average musicians. have the roots made one memorable song in their long history? i guess "proceed" but frankly, who doesn't skip over that on their ipod. just venting. i want to like them, but everytime i see them they completely phone in their performance or ask their guitar player to pretend he's Ernie Isley doing Jimi Hendrix.

geez. i don't know what to say. i really like when hip-hop groups do rock songs though. it is something you do not expect and i long for more of it. that is what drew me to this. i like proceed so now we really have to agree to disagree. their newest cd sucks bad though.
